Mr. Dunkow's current practice encompasses all aspects of surgery of the knee, including knee replacement, arthroscopic surgery of the knee and cruciate ligament reconstruction. He also performs conventional hip replacement surgery.

Mr. DunkowMBChB, FRCS OrthHip and Knee Surgeon

Mr. Dunkow originally grew up on the Fylde Coast and Arnold School in Blackpool. He then went on to study at Manchester Medical School where he underwent his undergraduate and post-graduate training. He carried out his orthopaedic training as a registrar at the Manchester Teaching Hospital and hospitals around the North West.

Arthroscopic Surgery

Arthroscopic surgery, also known as arthroscopy, is a surgical procedure to visualise, diagnose, and treat problems inside a joint using a specialised instrument known as an arthroscope.

An arthroscope is a flexible fibreoptic tube that contains a small lens or camera and a lighting system to magnify and illuminate structures inside a joint.
